1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before? Became a WOMAN >=)! (>.> maybe)
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I think I did pretty well ^__^ I've made a few this year, my main for for Taekwon-do again.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Hmm, no.
4. Did anyone close to you die? My neighbour John... He always use to fix our bikes as kids and work in his garden shed all day, I have a perfect view of his garden from my bedroom window and I always used to watch and hear him drilling and banging away even at his old age :( RIP.
5. What countries did you visit? Tenerife, Wales & NUNEATON >.>
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006? Less procrasination.
7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? 15th of Feburary comes to mind :) after a pretty bad valentines day outing I always remember what fun I had with Ollie the day after ^_^
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? AAAC (AS levels)
9. What was your biggest failure? Not enough serious TKD training.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Nothing major :)
11. What was the best thing you bought? Pretty clothes from the clothes show ^.^
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration? My brother, possibly Gemma :P , and Ollie for putting up with me.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? Can't think of anyone :)
14. Where did most of your money go? Clothes, outtings, food, cute...stuff... I need a new job...
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? ANIME :D:D & special outings
16. What song will always remind you of 2006? Hmm =) Mcfly - Star girl
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. Happier or sadder? Both...
ii. Richer or poorer? Alot poorer... Need a job ._.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Spending time with my friends.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Procrasinating
20. How will you be spending Christmas? With my family
22. How many one-night stands? None.
23. What was your favourite TV program? Lost of course :) Well, if we're only including british TV, 24 a close second. These are the ONLY two british airing shows I regually watch... (y)
Now if we switch over to Japanese airing :D My favouitre series I watched this year was without any doubt: Full Moon wo Sagashite. My current favourite anime of all time. The story revolves around a 12 year old girl named Mitsuki who is diagnosed with throat cancer and dreams of becoming a singer, however she lives with her strict Grandma who despises music... One day she is visited by two Shiginami (god's of death) whose job is to ensure Mitsuki's fate of death in one year is not interferred with, however it turns out Mitsuki can see the Shiginami, and they end up informing her of her fate, taking pity on her help her to enter a singing competition, in a final desperate attempt to achieve her goal before she dies. Singing is the only way she will ever find her first and only love before it's too late. There are many more ties and plots within the story, but generally on the outlook this warm & fuzzy looking anime with it's pretty animation and amazing sountrack has a dark and quite deep meaning rooted within it. It has amazing twists and turns and if you don't cry watching the final episode there's no way you can be human... I had to watch the final episode twice because I cried so much the first time xD
If this short synopsis appeals I can't emphasise and praise this anime enough, it is a must see :)
I aim to read the manga this year, perhaps in the summer :)
However 2006 was a good year for many animes, I always extremely enjoyed watching: Pita Ten, Princess Tutu, Ouran High School Host Club, Honey & Clover (I&II), Utawarerumono, Strawberry Panic, The Vision of Escaflowne, Marmalade boy, Kamisama Kazoku & Karekano. ^__^ Just to name some impressionable favourites.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Not that I can think of...
25. What was the best book you read? Da vinci code I guess, didn't read very much this year...
26. What was your greatest musical discovery? Rediscovering my ULTIMATE love for japanese pop. ^__^ Also a smide of appreciation for hip-hop and the like, I'm alot more open then I was previously to chart music and different genres. However, I still think it is a disgrace some of the music videos aired on TV which are viewed by small children who know of nothing except chart music... -.-
27. What did you want and get? Copious anime <3, Zen, many cute things ^__^
28. What did you want and not get? Nothing material, just more confidence and respect for myself.
29. What was your favourite film of this year? The only film I saw at the cinema this year was Happy Feet xD
30. What was your favourite theatrical production of this year? lol see above.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 18, had a quiet outing with my immediate family, and celebrated a few days later with my boyfriend, and a week later with my friends at a restuarant where they surprised me by all arriving early, doing the tables up with balloons and steamers and even a caterpillar cake was sent out xD I had a really nice time. I regret not spending more time with my friends this year greatly.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Being at the same college as my friends and boyfriend.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006? Mixture depending on where I'm going >.>
34. What kept you sane? Anime.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Ooo... ... ... All I can think of are anime characters >.> Oh well lets list them :D!
