"A poisonous breakfast is the most important meal of your last day," the asp told me with a menacing hiss.

My general rule is Always trust a talking snake, so I'm sure this is legit, but I can't help but to feel skeptical about something there. Maybe it's just that asps aren't native to California?

That's the sort of general rule I would like to see on an inspirational poster some day.

So far as I know, asps are native only to crossword puzzles.

I can't see any reason not to trust this talking snake.

Also, do you have any tasty recipes for poisonous breakfast foods? I am looking to expand my culinary repertoire.

This all goes back to the days of antiquity, when Cleopatra used said asp as her method of exiting this globe.
