Was up at 7:30. Have eggs in me (tarragon and cream cheese scrambled eggs, tarragon to spice them without salt and cream cheese to stretch the eggs a little, as there were only two... we are deliberately dwindling down the cottage summer foodstock), and half a blueberry muffin. Sometimes if I print out stuff I'm editing I can trick myself into thinking I am not 'working.' Editing on that tiny laptop would drive me nuts, too!

Nice thinking of you with the guinea pigs. I'm spending more time upstairs with our guinea pigs now that their primary caretaker has disappeared off to Japan for a year.

This weekend I want to take a picture of this boat in the woods.

Also, your asking me about a novel prompted me to put my brain in gear with regard to the novel I'm supposedly working on. Not that I've actually worked on it, mind. But at least I'm back to thinking about it.
