Not a happy Monday...

My boss's dad died today, about an hour after I got to work. I was there when she got the call. One of the older ladies was sympathizing; she'd lost both her parents too. I haven't lost anyone that close to me yet. Even the thought of losing one of my parents is enough to make me cry, so I'm pretty much hopeless when it comes to grief or ( Read more... )

*hugs* Death is always an uncomfortable thing to talk about.

And I'm sorry to hear about your dog. Rachel, our first dog, had a similar cancer, and while we couldn't do anything like chemo/surgery for her (too expensive) except for supportive care, she managed to live a few more years than the vet's had predicted.

It is. And I know it shouldn't be an easy thing to talk about; I just wish I was a bit more capable of comforting people.

And thanks. He's doing ok so far; he's still acting normally, playing, eating like a pig. But the lump looks like it's gotten bigger even in the couple weeks since I first noticed it. But I think as long as he's happy and he wants to live, he'll be able to resist it some.

Thank you. And I'm actually moving to Virginia Beach. I actually posted about that a couple days ago, but if you haven't seen it, that means I haven't added you to my friends list yet (sorry -_-; ) so I'll go do that now.^_^
