While I am not a Catholic in doctrine, or otherwise, I believe the word "Catholic" means "universal." To be Catholic, then, is have some property of universality. So, it would be admissable to call oneself "catholic" without having any affiliations to the church.

Also, Passion of the Christ was totally a snuff film. I'm not sure how the audience didn't gather that. Of course there were quite a few people who went to see the film who started bawling before the movie even started. Go figure. My friends and I had a drinking game with the movie where every time Jesus said "father!" we would chug some beer. It really makes for a fun drinking game. You should try it. It's a downright pious and mystical experience.

yeah, i know my little steam-of-consciousness entry has some large holes in it, but i was just think-typing... or type-thinking... or whatever you want to call it. and a little thinking never hurt anyone, right?... right?
