Oh, that was just fabulous. I like how the story was structured around her rules and how she's building her own tower away from what could really get her.

how she's building her own tower away from what could really get her.

An excellent way of putting it! Yes, she absolutely doesn't want to be rescued, because then she'd have to come down and face the real world.

Super good Brenna! The modern spin was better than I thought it would be. I'm a sucker for other world or historical stories but you got me! I enjoyed learning the rules and by the end wondered what had happened to Georgie to inspire the rules..there's some very interesting back story going on. My favorite part, read it three times before moving on was "and just saying his name was like tasting something good...he felt it too". I loved that! Thanks Brenna, you made me lunch break even better!

I'm glad you liked it! Yes, I think Georgia has some really big issues with people and needing to be in control of everything. I feel pretty confident she'll grow out of it, but for now she's just *stuck.* I'm hopeful for her future though, because even though her rules are the stuff of dysfunction, they still have integrity!

Superb! I loved the structure of the story and how we get to meet the reasoning behind the rules each time - and then why the rules are in place - it's getting the brain thinking! Awesome job! :)

Thanks! (I was a big rule-maker at that age. Although, I like to think I wasn't quite so icy about it!)
