I don't think the immigration movement is bitching about letting undocumented aliens into the country. I think most of them would love to have some legally recognized status. I think their point is that it takes years and oodles of resources most poor immigrants do not have in order to become documented via the current system. The red tape is *extreme*, and results in a cost that the average person from impoverished countries cannot afford.

then maybe we should re-evaluate the value of all of this red tape, if it results in more undocumented workers sapping the resources of our society. Make it easier to become a citizen, and it becomes quicker than goose shit sliding down a tin roof to tax the fuck out of them, just like the rest of us poor slobs.
