Summary: Canon AU: In 2020, Sasha and Bayley fear the arrival of SmackDown general manager Paige.
Bayley walked backstage running her hands through her hair. She heard about Paige returning to SmackDown. Corporate gave Paige her old general management duties on SmackDown for one night only. When Paige retired from wrestling Bayley and Paige were still friendly. But Bayley decided to be more of a role model to the women's locker room and those ungrateful sheep in the audience and at home that wouldn't accept her guidance. Paige didn't like the new Bayley and openly talked about it on WWE Backstage, the talk show Paige co-hosted for Fox Sports 1. Despite WrestleMania's claim that all the championships would be defended at the event, Bayley didn't want to defend the SmackDown Women's Championship at the event. She would go to Tampa Bay to be in the area so she wouldn't get fired, but she didn't want to actually wrestle that night.
Sasha stopped Bayley by the pink women's road cases backstage. "Bayley, what's wrong?"
"Dude, Paige is here."
Sasha scowled. "Paige? What the hell is she doing here?"
"I don't know, but you know how much she hates me now."
"Oh, I know."
"I gotta do some stuff before we have to go out on gorilla. Can you spy on Paige? I think everyone I've already beaten is going to beg for Paige to fight me at WrestleMania. I know they can't accept that I beat them once and they blew their shot at winning the Rumble, so Paige is their last hope to try to take my belt from me."
"I know, right? They didn't have the guts to beg Vince for their own Elimination Chamber match," Sasha said, referring to the women’s match held at that pay-per-view event. The winner became the number one contender to the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.
"Like they could survive a women's Elimination Chamber match. They'd fall over after they escaped their pods!" Bayley and Sasha laughed.
Sasha gave Bayley a peck on her lips. "I'm going to spy for you. You try to conserve your energy, okay? I don't want you drained if you have to beat up one of those girls."
Bayley smiled to see Sasha perk up. "I will."
