...approximately forty bazillion J2 AU stories. Many of them are ones I have read before. I'm not particular about my J2 coming in AU format, it's just that I found this list and that's what they are.

I think I may be developing a J2 problem.

I can't help. :/ There are so many of them, and I wish I was wired to appreciate them, but I'm not! Except the rodeo one, apparently. But otherwise, I can't seem to get my brain to go there. Woe!

But, see, like, it's not RPS. It's original fic with the parts played by Jared and Jensen. Or something? I am confused by the whole concept of AU RPS. It hurts my head a lot.

Ahhh. See, for me, all J2 is original fic with the parts played by Jared and Jensen. Just, in some of it, they're actors on Supernatural. I think I'm just not particularly invested in Jensen and Jared as people - I mean, ok, that sounds bad. I'm invested in them as characters, and the characters are loosely based on what we know of the people, but as far as the two of them go as actual real life individual people? Not so much. Which I think is good for me, because if I were that wrapped up in J2 "canon" I'd be all upset right now because of marriages and whatnot.

God, if only I could find a way to detach Sam and Dean from canon that way. I would be the happiest SPN fan girl in the WORLD. I could take whatever Kripke threw at me and say, "Ha! Like they're YOURS or something! NOT!" But as it is, I can't do it - I can't even read Sam/Dean AU fanfic, because... possibly the same reason you can't read J2 AU fanfic? Maybe?
