Hey, i -like- your 'long' posts! It's good to get updates from you now and then. I am looking forward to spring and gardening, too. This year i'll do more heirloom tomatoes, try a different variety of carrots, see if i can get onions to work in my soil, lettuce and mixed greens, and various herbs, since they all seem to do great. I'd like to try squash and cukes again, but i don't have many sunny spots, and they did very poorly last year. The local cats ate my green beans several times, so i'm not sure about those, either. Oh, and peppers.

I don't know if i'm going to invest much time into a garden or not, though.. since we might be trying to sell the house.

Sorry to hear about the arthritis.. have you tried alternative health care such as chiropractic, massage, or acupuncture? For some people those sorts of things are very effective. But, whatever works for you! :)

And, yay cooking. I'm such a wanna-be-foodie, methinks. I've really been enjoying baking fresh bread and experimenting with food this winter.

Aaah, i didn't realize the extent of the knee damage. Boo. :\ ~hug~

Ooooh, scones.. i have never tried to make those yet. I am enjoying Artisan Bread in five minutes a day, (artisanbreadinfive.com) and making various citrus curds to spread on fresh baked bread. i like lime and grapefruit curd the best so far, and they are also delicious in combination with a good seedless blackberry jam.. mmm.
