Finally did it. Got tired and chickened out a few days ago when we talked. But today I prepared myself, even wrote out a few key sentences to help myself along. Then I texted to ask if we could talk. Angie said she was going out to dinner, but was free afterwards. I called, she talked for a bit, told me more about her move to Chicago and her job

Thank you so much! I feel exactly the same, I am one of your biggest fans :) and I hope that if you ever want someone to talk to, you will feel free to talk to me any time. I have daydreams that someday we will live in the same city and hang out and be really good friends...

You did absolutely what was right. All the emotional investment in the world can't make a person something they are not. You need energy devoted to you. Hope we can give it to you.

Good for you. I've decided in certain situations putting an end to something is the true indicator of success, for lack of a better word. I used to think not talking to someone you loved so strongly indicates a failure on some level. But, with such dramaful messes, self preservation and ability to let go is more important.

yes, it is hard to not feel like an ending is a failing, but you're right sometimes it is actually a victory for yourself and your health.

life is crazy, sometimes in really amazing ways, sometimes in those ways you've been experiencing lately. I know it hard to be hard to do what you did, but I'm glad yr giving yrself the space to heal it up. It's been intense at times since I left, but I am about to embark on an adventure that reminds me so much of you. I'm wwoofing far away on a hawaiian island. I'm sure you will be in my thoughts this summer. I hope yr well too.
