Why?

For me, it's an aversion to things that have wings and a stinger.

All sorts of weird stories...and the one time as a kid I tried it, I was overwhelmed with a really bad feeling of dread. Just nerves, maybe, but it scared me enough to not go back.

The movie The Dark Crystal. Scares the bejesus out of me. I haven't seen it since I was like 8 or so, but just the thought of it gives me the heebejeebes.

Also, my mom wouldn't let me play with Ouija boards because they freaked HER out so much.

Aww I love that movie! I can see how it is super freaky, especially for a kid though.

I only remember a bit of it, but correct me if I'm wrong, but the bad puppets suck the life out of the other puppets? That is so perverse!

Right! And there were all kinds of scary bad guy puppets too....vulture things and big cockroach-like things....blrgh.

I dunno, I think ouija boards are dangerous and can open you up to unwanted attention..

Yes, that would be something I'd be afraid of. It's not a very rational fear, but there it is. I definitely believe that ghosts exist, so why not other things?
