I intend to sit down uninterrupted and go to each candidate's website and research their views and decide for myself.

This is the best thing you can do.

I don't really like Palin (I know, I'll lose my "girly card" for saying that)

Oh god, according to who? I hate Palin and if that makes me "not a girl" bring on the trousers, testosterone, and morning wood. Yeesh.

I'm really pissed that people are trying to make out that women who dislike Palin for real reasons are just self-hating feminazis. Or whatever. I don't like her policies, I don't like her hypocrisy, I don't like her. But I do love my vagina!

Here's a REALLY good, impartial site I found that lets you compare each candidate's stance and voting record on pretty much all the issues:

http://www.obama-mccain.info
And also: http://www.factcheck.org

And you totally don't lose your girly card for not liking Palin. She's a nightmare, and even her campaign is starting to have problems with her.

Either way, no matter who you vote for... good on you for doing the research ahead of time!

I'm voting along party platform lines. Obama strikes me as smart, accomplished and competent, but running too early. McCain comes off half-senile when he's not scripted. And Palin...what a nightmare. Theocratic book-burner who abused political power for personal gain.

The Democrats state in their platform I am an adult human being with full civil rights.

The Republicans imply I am either a half-bright child, incapable of making life decisions, or an active menace to heterosexual society.

I'll go with Spongebob, though. I like your analysis of his platform.
