Milledgeville characters

There's this man here in town we always called "Duff." He would walk around downtown in a ball cap, t-shirt and sweat pants pushed up almost to his knees with tube socks. Oh, no.
I hope he has somewhere to go, and something to salvage.
I will be thinking about Duff. If there is a drive for him, please let me know. I really can't do much, but would like to do something.

I saw the rubble. There was nothing left of the house, just a square of bricks making up the foundation. I wondered what had happened. Let me know if you find out more.

I saw on the front page of the Union-Recorder this morning that the fire department did a controlled burn of the house (which was condemned) and used it for practice. Caption to the picture did not identify Mr. Read/Duff but it did say that he was a WWII veteran and lived in a car on the property with several cats.
