After months of thought, I have decided that my future journal entries will remain public for a few days and then go friends-only. I have no issue with my regular anonymous readers, and welcome; but I am wary of future unknown visitors delving deep into this seven-year history of my private life.

Nothing like that.

The goal is tighter future control over what information is available at a particular moment, without cutting off loyal non-LJ readers (who have given me no cause to regret their interest).

Can't you think of at least a handful of people you wouldn't want discovering your blog(s) and reading years of personal information with a bit too much interest?

Oh -- no it was I just started to get excited about high sea drama. :D i guess with my blogger account I have made amends that anything I write there is for the world to see...whenever and however they want. But I do feel intensely private about my locked journal. So I can understand!

To clarify, I have edited "new unknown visitors" to read "future unknown visitors."
