Icons!

Hi, I've seen about a million PotC icons and I have to say that yours are some of my favorites. I especially like the techniques used in "oh captain," "fangurls," and "shiver." Which programs do you use for your icons and how do you get the lighting like that? Thanks.

Thanks. I use Photoshop 6 and Image Ready. The lighting effect is quite simple, once you get it down. Here's the post where I explain it:

Photoshop question

How do you add the thin black line around the icon? And also, how do you add the black fading around the border? I've been searching through Photoshop and can't seem to find any menus...
