If I didn’t like my roommate before I despise her now! On sunday afternoon she calls me and I'm at work so I told my mom to give her the number there. It was so busy that I was talking to her while filling prescriptions and doing register and other things. She called me to ask if it was okay to move some of the furniture around to fit her computer

She sounds like an immature brat. Move out as fast as you can, if possible. Switch roomates with someone else looking to switch. Other people are having similar issues with their bitchy roomates as well.Is this your first year dorming?

No, suicide is not an option...it may seem bad now but there's got to be something you can do. Believe me, I had the suitemate from hell my freshman year. Does your school allow you to move out and room with another person? Is there any way that you two could compromise on certain things? If she wants to study,she should go to the library. Or one of you could listen to the radio in a friend's room. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to compromise when you're living with someone. I was so lucky to have my own room most of my college dorm days, maybe you will too next year!

Ahh, this brings back memories of first year when my friend had to get a restraining order against her room mate's parents. You'd think that the university would do a better job of matching people. Tsk.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, I would certainly apply for a room mate switch if things don't improve. There's no reason for you to be miserable for an entire year. Until then, be the bigger person and don't sink to her level of pettiness.

Ahhhh that majorly sucks and is one of the many reasons I never went too far away to college.. I didn't want to have to deal with the whole roomie thing! *shew* I would be knocking the shit out of that girl if she were living with me. You have every right to be pissed off at her. She just sounds like a whiney lil bitch to me. She has NO right to treat you like that.. because you have been more than nice to her! I hope you can find another person to room with soon.. someone who will respect you more than that! *hugs*
