The Sanya shirt and tie are done

Complaints:
- My buttons/button holes are really janky. Honestly though between the tie and corset-y thing you see none of them.
- The collar of the shirt is technically wrong. I was using my plush and the fan art I have as my background as an example and made a regular dress shirt collar. It should be a really high collar. I'm not sure if I'm going to try and redo it...but I'd say its doubtful at this point.
- Another collar complaint: I'm not sure if I like the patch/crest on the collar. You never really get a close up on it in the series, it's basically just a golden bird. Well turns out the Russian/Soviet army (the character is supposed to be from Russia) used a golden bird (eagle? I dunno what bird it is) as it's crest. So I thought it was a good idea to used one of those. Problem is that it's too large for the space I have on the collar. So instead of a nice triangle patch I have this funky rectangle going on and it's going right up to the edge. There are better odds of me redoing this part, but I haven't decided yet.
- Tie is a bit too wide, I think I can live with that though.
- I have to take these pictures with my dumb/crappy camera instead of my awesome phone
- Learn to smile better in pictures!
- Make sure your shirt is better tucked in next time!

Likes:
- This is probably the best tailoring I have ever done. Everything fits like a glove.
- Likewise all my seems are straight and pretty

I always like the way embroidery work looks from the back. Do you think I used enough thread to make that white border around the star?

I also beat my best score on Pirates pinball and made it back onto the high score list...and look at that pretty picture from my phone =P

The great fall shopping excursion was this Tuesday. It was a much more successful trip in comparison to it's summer counterpart. I came away with 2 shirts and a pair of jeans. I bought the cashmere sweater from Lord and Taylor that I really wanted last winter but thought it was too expensive at the time and I really pretty grey casual/tee-shirt from New York and Company for the shockingly low price of $15. The Jeans were from Macy's (I'm wearing them in the Sanya pictures) but eh, jeans are jeans, I never get excited about them. I'm the opposite of most women; shopping for jeans is no big deal for me while shoes are a nightmare =P I supplemented that with socks, underwear, and some new camis from Aeropostale. I'm pretty well set for the winter.

*EDIT*
OMG My first ever Yakuman! Today kicks ass!
