I realised today that most of you haven't seen my shrine as it is currently set up. Thankfully I had the camera today, and the light was good, so these turned out fairly well.
It's beautiful!! you know... by just watching it, I can see many similarities with Hethert's side in my shrine... like the stones, jewelry... it's obvious she requests similar stuff from her kids or beloveds. Now I see the cowrie shells... that's interesting, I've had the idea of adding some for Hethert for a long time, don't know why (I'm not even sure if they represent her, ain't them for Anuket?)... I still couldn't find them, but someday I will LOL
Heh, She's claimed almost every piece of jewelry that I have, even some of the cheap-looking stuff. She also stole a ring from my human mother a few weeks ago. My mom was walking past the shrine and the ring fell off her finger and onto the surface of the shrine.
I think the cowries are mainly a symbol of Anuket...I'm actually not 100% certain if they're associated with Hethert. I just like 'em. :D
wow! this has got to be one of the most beautiful shrines i've ever seen. i absolutely love it, the icon included. it is a really lovely setup. i totally see Hethert and your love in there. inspiring, really :)
Thank you! I don't know why everyone ("everyone" in this case meaning "teenage Wiccans") thinks that pink is Hethert's color. She always asks for greens and blues from me.
pink! certainly not...! she's the Lady of Turquoise. i went to visit an ancient mine where they mined copper and turquoise, and Hethert had a temple/shrine there. she's the original turquoiselady :)
