Ah!  Why do I always wait until I have so much to report that there's no way I can fit it all in?  Then I have to do it really quickly... Highlights ( Read more... )

Sounds good. Sorry about the job thing though. What kind of math is Penny doing? Is she doing "serious math" because she is seriously good at math or because that's just what they do at her school? What kind of school? I can't wait to see pictures/videos...although I'd like to see the real thing even more.

She's going to another Montessori program here; she does math while the younger kids are taking naps. (Montessori, so as you know, she's choosing to do math over another activity, reading for instance, at this point.) Let's see-- a couple of days ago she came home with a "book of 7s"-- just stapled together pieces of paper with simple addition problems where "7" was always one of the numbers (and always added to another single digit number). But since then I've mainly just seen greater than, less than worksheets, and simply practice writing numbers correctly (which she needs-- has a big tendency to write 4, 7, 9, 10 backwards...)

Pics, vids, coming!

To get quick money, I took the crappy student bookstore job. Eh, whatever, it's a quick job, low stress

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Low stress.... my ass. I don't know, maybe you got lucky and you don't have to work for Nebraska Book Company, i.e. you won't be one of about two people helping 40,000 students get their books.

Yeah, pictures of Lucy and Penny!! Im ready to see them!
We totally need to visit you folks. So does that mean that you are not teaching any classes or that you are only teaching a couple or what?
