Jeez, so all these people are starting school as teachers or students and they writing about it (like, four posts about that in the past 24 hours), so I'll throw in my sense... On the teaching side of things, umm... back to teaching 18 year olds almost exclusively.  That's fine, but a change.  I like the mixed classrooms where ages range from 18-45

that bookstore job sounds nice. computer lab classes seem dumb. can't students just sit on the computer while you're teaching and email and play games when you're not looking? bad set up.

Totally bad setup. I have in my syllabus that if you're doing something on the computer when you are not supposed to be, I announce what you're doing, and then the computer gets turned off for the rest of the class period... Seems to work, but it's still annoying...
