Hello, dear. It's good to hear from you again, and I hope you're doing well.

GWTW and LOTR are definitely two of my favorites.

I remember Kon-Tiki! Fascinating story of expedition.

Hi Prim, thanks for the hello. Yes, Kon-TIki fascinated me as a kid--the first hint of my love for exploration/adventure stories.

I just saw the 2012 film "Kon-Tiki", and loved it greatly.

It's great to see a post from you! *waves happily*

*Waves back and grins*

I loved the movie of Kon-Tiki, too, but the book was even better!

I really liked the first few Barsetshire novels, but then I got terribly bored of Lily and John and their interminable non-romance.

Always a danger with those so-proper Brits! Perhaps if you added Legolas and Gimli... ;)

Hi Meryl, I don't seem to get to LJ much so have only just seen your post on this meme. (I was actually wondering if you had a review for the new Hobbit movie up).

LotR, P& P and the Aubrey Maturin series are ones that have stayed with me as well. Kon Tiki is interesting. An amazing story but it was a book that I actually had to study at school at age 12 so I sort of have a thing about it. Unfortunately. I think I should re-read it now from a distance of more than 40 (yikes) years.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and the best for 2015.
