This Saturday ended up being a combination of the two. Riley's birthday had been the evening before and while Eddie had spent a large amount of time there, he opted to leave before he was too plastered to wake up early enough the next morning to get a jump on a paper that was due in a week.

"Some of us had to keep the other alcoholics in town well supplied," she shrugged. "Besides, I've been to enough of his parties. Missing one isn't going to hurt me."
Head tilted, she studied him for a moment, eyes squinting due to the light. "I think I may have been slightly wrong about you," she finally decided.
