Fire Gala. Just the name alone is pretentious. Yeah, I'm a little late to the party of mentioning it, but really? I'm sure everyone I've ever spoken to is going, I've definitely heard entirely too many conversations about dresses and dates and blahblahblah from my students and the people beside me in class. I like your style. I'm stealing it. I'll be 23 for as long as I can pull it off. I figure I have a good 7 years where I can pull it off. I age well.

I tend to spend my birthdays working, too. Though, there is usually no groping, unfortunately.

Trust me, I hear and see some pretty interesting things in my line of work. I think you'd be surprised how many students accidentally think about their most embarrassing secrets when they know I'm listening because they are trying too hard to remember to not think them. It's a good thing I can maintain a deadpan expression under just about any circumstance.

Actually, that doesn't surprise me. You tell someone not to do something and suddenly they're obsessed with it. Being able to deadpan is definitely helpful...I'd probably laugh outright and then mock endlessly.
