Christmas, Winter Break, all such things were just a giant pain in the ass for Meredith. She'd spent the night in the bar, working with everyone else who hated Christmas. "Looks like we had the same idea," Mori said, nodding back at Meredith.

The holidays always left Mori feeling indifferent. Maybe it was the way Miles' acted towards the season or her own opinions now. She couldn't quite tell. Either way, it left her roaming around in the bitter cold watching families run around.

Slowly her steps, Meredith shrugged a shoulder and waved her coffee in some vague gesture that evven she wasnt' sure had any real meaning.

"Are you in hiding or listless? I think I'm still sort of drunk," Meredith rambled off, sure she wouldn't be if it wasn't someone she actually knew.

"Mostly hiding," Mori confessed, nursing her coffee. She was glad to run into somebody she knew. All the happy parents and children were beginning to get on her nerves.

"I'm sick of this holiday rubbish."

"Seriously," Meredith rolled her eyes. "Can we just skip until New Year's, get blindingly drunk and pretend Christmas didn't exist?"

She tiled back her coffee and it was cool enough by now for her to finish most of it. "That sounded almost too harsh didn't it?" Not that she cared.
