Sean and I drove up to Arlington (between Dallas and Fort Worth) on Memorial Day so that we can look at places we might be living, now that he's been accepted to grad school at UTA. Personally, I'm excited about the move! Right now we're looking at rental houses, which are surprisingly affordable, if not all over the board quality-wise. This is the first one we looked at and as it turns out, was by far the best of all that we viewed that day. It's a 3 bedroom 2 bath as I recall, which now that I think about it I completely left out a bathroom in my lame attempt at a floorplan from memory (see below). Oh well. Provided we don't encounter any problems with the application process or find any other places we like, this is our #1 choice at the moment!
Bonus: It's on a street called "White Swan Drive", and every street in the neighborhood is named after a bird. BURDS!!
View from the front. Not wild about pinkish brick but it's not ugly by any means.
Living room is really open and features an open floor plan, open to kitchen, breakfast area, and dining room.
Breakfast area. BAY WINDOW = ♥♥♥ I stupidly didn't get a view of the patio/backyard, but it opens from the breakfast area into the back, which is surprisingly spacious and pretty, tho it lacks trees/shrubs. Whole backyard is fenced.
Kitchen, I like. Most important room to me lol. It was funny cause when we'd see a new house I'd go straight for the kitchen and Sean would go straight for the master bathroom. I like cooking, he likes...um....pooping and showering I guess.
Nice dining area, also open
Master bedroom is modest size but not small, other wall not pictured features a couch
I like the master bathroom. It's got a separate shower and tub (which I couldn't fit in the pic so I didn't even try) and 2 sinks..plus a space for a stool under the counter :o I could have a ~VANITY~
This is the garage. Holds 2 cars and has nice storage space. Sean likes to get in my pics.
NOT PICTURED: Both extra bedrooms (they were kid's rooms and, uh, normal bedrooms so I didn't feel the need to take pics), laundry room (cause it was messy), guest bathroom, backyard
I drew this to kinda give an idea of the layout but it's obviously wrong in places and not scaled properly 8/ I r not architect, especially not from memory
So yeah, that's the candidate at the moment! I like it. Neighborhood's not bad although there were several cars parked on the street which just makes me mad for some reason. Other than that's great tho. We'll see if this one pans out or if we find anything else!
