I know the feeling - I've unfollowed a few people for things like posting way too much or just not posting what I'm interested in.

In some cases they weren't even following me back and I still felt a bit guilty. How silly is that? :p

Oh I have done that and I feel like a numpty when I do. :P Personally I am perfectly OK if someone unfollows me and everywhere else even Facebook where I know everyone personally I am quite decisive.

Maybe its my job filtering into my home life. Where I have to be super incredibly polite and tolerant.

I've stopped thinking twice about unfollowing people ages ago because they mostly don't care either.
And even if they did, I simply no longer have the time and energy for most of the internet stuff anyway.

I am like that every where else but tumblr. But yeah it is not worth using up your free time and energy worrying about things like that. Especially when there are youtube videos or something to watch. ;D
