I think she has begun to improve! I did some research and discovered that a cat, if it stops eating, will lose interest in food altogether. Cocoa's problem seems to be, not that her uveitis or the herpes killed her appetite, but that once her appetite went away, she lost interest in eating. It's a slow process. I never got to the point Where I had to feed Misty from a syringe, but there were a few days when she did not really care to eat. Her appetite came back slowly, and now she looks for any crumb not nailed down. I wish Cocoa good health, and good appetite! Good luck with the checkup.

She is doing okay. I take her in for rechecks from her regular vet, and she sometimes gets fluids and vitamins. She is perking up. But it is definitely a slow process.
BTW, I just discovered the "message" section of LJ, so it is now July 28 and I just saw this post! Learning something new each day is a positive thing!! Hugs to Misty and Jack!
