yeah. I'm into existentialism right now, too - a lot of these books are.

I understand existentialism, but I don't really like it.

I think it's just a bunch of losers trying to invalidate their own shitty existence because they realize that everyone is better than them...but that in itself is an existentialist idea probably or whatever BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAHB

I like it. I don't think it's that.

I think a lot of athiests are into existentialism. I'm more agnostic, but - it's not that everyone is better than them, and it'd be more like they were trying to validate their own existence rather than invalidate it if they were saying that EVERYTHING is equally pointless. I just don't believe there's a point. And it interests me. But I don't think that it means you have to act totally apathetic or be dark or weird or whatever. Plus, existential fiction is usually really good.
