So, that scene at the end, with Lupin packing up and all that. It made me go "hmmm."
Yeah.
Things like Lupin saying (paraphrased and misquoted, whee!) "someone let slip... what I am" and "the owls will start arriving" and "parents won't want 'someone like me' teaching their children", etc, etc. HELLO, METAPHOR HIDDEN-MEANING THING. Yeah. I took Lupin as either (or both) a metaphor for a gay man, or a man with HIV/AIDS. Most likely both.
Alfonso, if this was your doing, and you meant it like that... I love you. (Actually, I kinda felt this way about Lupin in the books as well, so... JK Rowling, I love you too. In that platonic way, y'know?)
Also, the scene in the beginning with Harry, heh, playing with his wand under the covers. Yeah. Wink wink.
I want to reread the books now. *heart*
