Very interesting. He's probably right.

But its a demonstration of why we're so fucked. The sacred place will always be there, has always been there. We just forgot that it is sacred. There is absolutely no need to do anything to "sustain the Place as such".

agree with the 1st part. scientific discourse attempts to 'displace the place as such' - at least scientific methods that are not dialectical. the place is always there, but its displacement causes a shift in mass consciousness through the symbolic filters of authority (i.e. through kitsch media) and therefore, in answer to the false displacement (the height of the illusion's art) there must be the proposition of a location - that is, a void.
