i agree with the fact that everyone close to you will eventually let you down.

i do not, however, agree that someone is stupid or naive for thinking someone should be higher morally than they are. i expect a lot of people. think of it this way, when you are a father, if your son or daughter comes home sloshed and with a used condom in their hand, are you going to think "i expected more of them" or are you going to think "well...it would've been naive of me to not think they would do that.."
