To-do list

Jun 09, 2007 17:46

My flatmate from England is coming to visit on Thursday!  So I intend to clean the WHOLE apartment so she won't be horrified.

Things to do this weekend and/or before Sarah comes:
  • Clean litterboxes
  • Take out trash and recycling
  • Put away mountains of books
  • Put away painting and craft things
  • Dust the computer desk

He probably is grouchy, because the doable list isn't getting DONE in a timely fashion.

You call this cabin clean??? Clean??? Look at all the filth a-cluttering up the place. Your cot is probably just as bad, sheets all ahoo and in need of a-cleaning. Let me look into the galley. Oh gawd, the cheese is mouldy, even the rats wouldn't eat this stuff. Let's look at the biscuit, the weevils, have you seen the number of weevils in the biscuit .... the butter rancid I'm sure. If you are going to have guests visit the ship you better start scrubbing under your cot,in the galley and the privy. Tsk, and your uniforms thrown to the floor, treating good clothes like that .... Gravy splattered on your good jacket.

Killick shakes his head and stumps from the room in disgust.

First, I'll have you know Killick that there are no weevils IN the biscuit because there is no biscuit. (There may be biscuit in the weevils, but that's another matter.) The butter and cheese are in good condition, however, which is a good thing because they, and some granola, are about the only thing I have to eat right now. (I've turned into Bridget Jones, gak!) And I'll have you know that there is NO gravy on my good jacket because I haven't been near any gravy in months.

"Dinner?" Stephen cried, as if the meal had just been invented...

And I do not know what you mean by "ahoo," but I resent its implication - unless you mean completely rumpled and twisted and probably dirty, in which case I must confess that you are correct.

Wow! Stephen needs you to stand up for him when Killick attacks. *g*

Aww! I would be glad to assist Stephen in any way I could (except for cooking and cleaning. Well, that's not true. I'd probably cook and clean out of love for STEPHEN better than I cook and clean out of love for myself or any sense of pride.)
