Finally, an update.
Friday night, me, Ashley, John, and Campi went and hung out in Boston. Ashley had fun with the bubbles..."you fucking gorilla!" lmfao, that killed me and Campi. We all went to eat at NY house of pizza before Campi left =( and the rest of us headed over to Northeastern to see Throne. We walked around for a while and finally found th eplace but it was early so we walked around some more and found Sandra. We went back to the place where they were playing and went in and sat down because it's sort of like a restaurant type weird deal. Sandra had paper and gel pens so we ended up just drawing all over this piece of paper and giving it to Derek later. We watched Throne do sound check, and Ashley told me she saw Derek looking at us and pointing as us so I was like Yay, they remember us. Then I yelled Justin's name and asked him what time they were going on and shit. The opening "bands" were basically just like 10 different college students with their acoustic guitars. I was bored out of my mind. Finally, Throne went on and they were awesome. Derek is the best dancer, he makes me laugh. They played a bunch of shit off the new album but they played New Army and Meringue. I wanted So Jealous but that's okay.
After they played we went over to talk to Derek. John introduced himself then Derek turned to me and was like "I remember you!" and gave me a hug and I was like awww *melts*. We talked to Justin for a few minutes too but then we basically talked to Derek for a while. Him and Ashley talked about bleaching their hair, and I told them to come back soon because they don't play around here enough. We never did get to talk to Casey because we had to leave =(. So we got pictures with Derek, and more hugs then John and Sandra bought Balladry and we left to catch the train home.
Alright, so Saturday rolled around. Saturday morning I woke up at like 10 and my dad took me to get batteries for my camera and my ticket to see Thursday on Sunday. Then I went over Nat's house and around 3:30 her dad drove us to Bentley. We had a bitch of a time finding the place on the campus but eventually everything was cool. I didn't have a ticket so I had John buy me one for $25 and then I paid him back. Of course, then I went to go pick up my photopass and what was in the envelope? A ticket. So I was pissed, but I eventually sold one of the tickets for $15 so it wasn't that bad. I also got to see my Jesstastic that day, yay! So yeah, I hung out with Jessica, Kevin, and N@ in line, then eventually some other people joined us and finally they let us in. Let me tell you, people at college shows don't know what the fuck they are doing. It was all a bunch of confusion and it was so stupid. And I couldn't use flash so my pics will probably come out like shit but that's okay.
Anyway, right before the bands came on we went and stood in this little area off to the side of the stage where we ended up meeting everyone. I got pictures with some of the Format, Ryan from YC, and Andrew and Clutch from Soco. I'm pretty sure Josh walked by us when I wasn't paying attention. And Sean from YC kept skipping past us, it was so cute. Let me just add that that place has NO ventilation AT ALL. I was sitting in the back and had sweat like pouring off of me, it was terrible. Ok. I have a feeling all the pictures I took of SoCo...are of Andrew. Or about 99% of them because wherever we were when we first went in was where we were pretty much stuck and I was right in front of his piano. They opened with Hurricane which made me so fucking happy. Then I wandered around during their set to buy a poster. They played (not in any order): 21 and invincible, space, fall, ruthless, i woke up in a car..and maybe some more I can't remember. Anyway, Andrew started saying that the cops wanted to shut them down but that he wasn't leaving unless he was in handcuffs. So then they played Konstantine...then the lights in the gym started coming on and the stage lights were shut off. Andrew was really pissed, it was hilarious...he was like "I play an acoustic piano, they can't hold me down!" or something like that. So then they shut off his mic after the intro to If U C Jordan but the band was still playing. So Andrew kept running back and forth and climbing on things getting the crowd to sing the song. Then one by one the instruments were shut off and all you could barely hear was Brian's drums going without amplification. It was amazing though because it was just the crowd singing...the rest of the band was sitting around and Andrew was like conducting the crowd...it was insane. After that, he ran overand jumped on their merch table and started signing shit before he moved outside where I guess he stayed until he talked to everyone. It was sooo much fun. And The Format was amazing, I had three of them sign my CD (that N@ now has..give it back bitch! no, i'm kidding, I'll get it from you later).
So Sunday I got to the Palladium at like 2/3ish. My mom checked into the hotel and I went to wait in line for Jess. When she showed up we went and dropped my stuff back off at the hotel and went to CVS then headed back to the show. Stephanie showed up and hopped in line to talk with us for a while and good times were had by all. Finally doors opened...this has to be one show I didn't get on the barricade for, but I was right behind Jess so it was okay. Some girls behind us were being bitches, it was so stupid...we laughed at them for being stupid and talking shit like we couldn't hear. Anyway, Spitalfield played first but no one was really into them..meanwhile I'm singing all the words. They played a new song that was really good, as well as Kill The Drama, Five Days and Counting, I Loved The Way She Said LA, Make My Heart Attack, and a couple more whose titles I can't remember off the top of my head. After they were done playing I yelled Mark's name and he came over so I handed him the interview because I printed it up. Next were Engine Down, they were pretty good. Then came Poison The Well. Now, I don't like PTW but they put on an amazing live show. Finally, Thursday came on and they are the most incredible live band ever. I love them, they're amazing. They were filming a video too so that was supercool. They played a long set and played: Autobiography Of A Nation, I Am The Killer, M. Shephard, Signals Over The Air, Understanding In A Car Crash, Jet Black New Year, This Song Brought To You By A Falling Bomb, and a ton more. I got my ass kicked it was grand. Afterwards I found Mark again, asked him if he read the interview and he said no but he thought he read it online..then I bought a spitalfield shirt and went back to the hotel.
Work is sooo fucking boring but I made $260, even though I had to give my mom $120...so I've got $140 which is still pretty damn good. Me and Campi had some good conversations...we bitched about the horrible people we work with that are stupid and stuck up and rawr. We analyzed a certain someone's walk (because we've concluded they are "homoshexual" lmfao learn to speak Campi), talked about elephants who shan't zepant....Campi snorted some coke because der, she's the druglord. Then spilled some coffee on the train because she's a columbian coffeewhore. I'm just kidding, Campi is great. I'm sure a lot more funny shit was said that I can't remember.
So yeah. There's my update. And it's fucking long too but now I have to go shower and shit so I can FINALLY hang out with my friends. I'm sad though because Jen told me this vacation was fun for everybody. Rawr.
