I think I'm probably resigned to the fact that I'm never going to use this journal the way I used to use this journal. I've moved out of a lot of the fandoms I used to be in and I don't really have the time to update regularly (though I'll probably update more regularly now that I'm back from Korea

Hey welcome back! Sorry I hadn't been following your adventures so much; I'm not really into pop culture. But I need to go back and look at all your pictures!

I think it's particularly cool how you went to all those events and you were even on TV-albeit in the audience-right? I bet it feels surreal to think back on all that.

Korean pop culture is a really strange and specific interest anyway, so even amongst people who do care about pop culture it's still hard to find people with similar interests, haha.

We were on TV a couple times, yeah! Although we were indeed just audience members. It was amazing, and actually I live with my friend who went to Korea with me, so sometimes we just have moments where we're like, "Remember that time so and so happened? Was that real?"

Very true, there are so many different cultures and facets within those cultures. Mostly what I appreciate about Korean pop culture is the management team's ability to assemble very attractive groups and cast members >_> So shallow.

That's super cool though. I don't think a lot of people who go abroad have that kind of experience, so that's something unique you can treasure.

It's weird how our brains are when recollecting past events, especially going abroad. No matter how many pictures, flyers, souvenirs, and journal entries you have, it just has this bizarre dream-like effect. :) You're lucky to have someone near you to share that with!

HAHA well that's basically 90% of what kpop is about! Pretty faces and (largely) cute, peppy melodies without any real musical substance. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love kpop, but I definitely know better than to think the majority of it is deep/meaningful lyrics.
