The X-Files.

So, now that I've watched all six new episodes...

I don't know if the show ended correctly or my local tv station managed to chop off the end and credits to make way for the next programme due to time constraints, but wtf? Ending the show on Mulder apparently dying in the car while Scully looking up to undeniable proof of alien craft? Seriously?

I know CC likes to end on a cliffhanger, so it shouldn't be a surprise. However, as we were told it was only a six episode run, I did expect some form of closure, or at very minimum, watching the X-Files torch be handed over to Mulder!Light & Scully!Light Miller and Einstein. I don't feel the same connection with the two new agents. Perhaps that they're near identical in looks and beliefs to my FBI dream team, it's more a rub than anything else.

All that aside, I enjoyed the MoTW episodes. They were fun to watch, especially when Mulder actually used modern technology to show Scully proof, and being the big dork that he is, still managed to screw it up. The cameos of familiar faces in certain episodes was lovely as was the tribute to Kim Manners.

Overall, I'd give the season a solid 3.5 out of 5. As is often the case, there are more questions than answers. I want to watch it again, to see if there are any clues that I missed the first time around.
