So, where do I start? Beware, this is probably going to be a really long post. I returned from New Orleans on Thursday afternoon and had an amazing trip. Sent you the photos! :)
Funny that you ask if there's one of the cucaracha because I did actually take one, crouching down drunkenly on the ground with everyone laughing at me, hahaha! Unfortunately it wasn't on the digicam so I'll see if I can get someone to scan those for me when I get 'em back on Wednesday.

hey I got the pics! it occured to me as i flip through the pics that i think you have some of the most perfect teeth of anyone I know. lol looks like you had an awesome time! :) and such gorgeous scenery too... there's one word that always comes to mind whenever I see American architecture - 'massive'... gardens were beautiful! Hey what's that big white colonial-style looking building?

Yes, the scenery is gorgeous...if you're staying right in the French Quarter though, you just have to beware of the piss-stinking streets (since it's legal for everyone to drink alcohol 24/7 on the streets as long as it's in a plastic container) even though they clean 'em every morning...as well as the piles of horse shit here & there (which I stepped in!)
The big white colonial building you were asking about (with all the Oak trees in front of it) is actually the Oak Alley Plantation where Interview With a Vampire was filmed among other shows/movies. We took a 1.5 hour bus tour out of New Orleans to go down there, it was pretty awesome! :)
Did you guys show up at Red Square last night at all?
