Empower Me?

I had a really good weekend. Aaron left Thursday for his Empower U course in Nevada. Kim and I took the girls to dinner at Randy's. Slow, but fantastic. I shared my cheese enchilada, chicken taco, chile verde combo plate with Maegan. She was more interested in the bread from Emily's corndog though. She's gotten to a point where she doesn't want any ( Read more... )

Whoah watch out for those all consuming drive for perfection campaigns. They are impossible, temporary, and leave you more tired, bitter, and disgusted with yourself than ever. I know from experience. Slow, comfortable, positive, gradual change is more likely to be lasting. I think you have to let yourself grow into the habits you want to adopt. I think it takes time.

Fuck, never mind what I think. I'm tired and going to bed ;)

Yea, I'm wondering how it will all turn out. But when Aaron makes a decision to make a change, he usually sticks to it. He's not flip-floppy at all. But, I'll just sit back and watch...
At the moment, he's feeling VERY positive with himself. No bitterness or disgust at all. But that's just not him.

Hey, if he can take the momentum from inspiration and make it stick, that's awesome. Something I wish I could do. *Sigh*

I want to make some changes myself. I figure if it's fun, I'll keep doing it. I signed up for a bellydance class once a week. It's in San Ramon from 7:35- 8:35. I thought maybe you could come on down, bring Aaron and Maegan, have dinner and then the boys and the kids could play while we are in class. Let me know if you are interested.

I did a bellydance class a long time ago and loved it. Unfortunately, I can't make a commitment like that right now. I go to the gym 4-6 times a week (costs me $40/month so I go as much as I can). And Aaron and I have made a commitment to each other to have a committed "date night" on our calendar once or twice a week. Also, Aaron works late a lot in the summer so he can't make that commitment either. But, if I could just pay as I go and drop in once in awhile that would be fun. Keep me posted!
