HONEYMOON POST (journal excerpt from day 3)

Sep 07, 2008 11:29

Tuesday August 12 - I woke up at 8am and started writing in this journal. Mark said..."honey, I don't mean to be a jerk but that's going to keep me up." So I went out to the livingroom and finished writing it all out.

When Mark woke up we first went to Jeff's house to drop off Mike's camera.

Shiva wanted to come out but wasn't allowed (awww)...

He gave us a tour around his gardens (his entire front yard and some of his back yard is covered in gardens) and we got to sample some things:

These are onions that drop to the ground and then sprount again!

I really wish Jeff would have told me he had awesome flowers. I would have used those for my wedding bouquet!

MMMM Green beans:

My favorite were the currants:

When we left we continued on to New Hampshire.

First we stopped at ATLAS fireworks and picked up some goodies for next year's 4th of July party! Then we went to Sharon Arts gallery because we had gotten a gift certificate there as a wedding gift!

One of the exhibits was an artist who made little books. One was called "how to be a good friend". It asked you to share a story about a good friend in order to take a little book. I told the story of how I just married my best friend.

At the gallery we bought:

(2 coffee mugs, a teacup, and a gold dipped leaf)

I LOVE the insides!

While we were in the gallery it started to rain. When we got out it stopped. Then it started again when we got in the car and stopped when we got out at Pickity Place!!!

Someone is really making sure we have a great honeymoon!

The food at Pickity Place was just as good as it always is.

My main course was Fettucine a la Grek and Steamed Broccoli with Lemon Butter

Mark's was a Turkey Stuffed Pepper with Mango Salsa and Steamed Broccoli with Lemon Butter:

And dessert was Summer Berry Short Cakes!

We stopped at a clearing to look for rocks...well, Mark looked for rocks while I took pictures:

The sky was amazing!

When we got back Mark did garden stuff while I took a nap. I'm not a nap person but felt tired all of a sudden. When I got up we decided to go to walmart (I know, I know ugh) to do a bit of shopping and to get the stupid digital converter box (that we found out doesn't work in our area, so in february we either buy cable or have nothing again).

On the way back we stopped at Kay's for another healthy dinner:

Mark got a burger and fries and I had deep fried zucchini sticks.

Then we watched some of the olympics and went to bed.
