My Social Change in LatAm class is AMAZING so far. I have an intellectual crush on the professor. Math sucks. I seriously don't get it. Our "review lecture" on the first day almost killed me. The Grad Student Instructor for the section looks like a geeky 15 year old boy.
Spanish is fucking AWESOME. IT's called "Literature of the Conquest" and along with reading and analyzing lit from the precolombian and conquest eras we'll be learning the basics of Nauhatl (an aztec dialect).
I'm doing another independent study in Ceramics. My advisor this semester is Richard Shaw who is uber famous in the art world. He's a really wierd old dude, so i have to keep reminding myself he's famous. I'm gonna look at making some big representations of the cool Aztec monsters represented in the old codices.
I'm still working at GenEq and loving it. I'm getting along much better with my boss. My first event of the semester is on the 22nd of Febuary- It's a Queer Womyn's Sexual Health Workshop. I'm also teaching a course on the Zapatista movement with my good friend Kelly. Our first class is next week.
I performed solo at the White Horse on Wednesday. I didn't prepare very much, but I still had a lot of fun and was asked to come back. Photographic evidence:
