I just realized how sick it is to actually keep track of how many games I've beaten - and that it's that high. Add Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64) to that list.
Though Majora's Mask gets a little better towards the end, it's still a pretty lackluster game. The three-day thing became more of a chore than a factor into the gameplay. It was there for Day/Time specific events for sidequests and such. Basically, you slowed down time, proceeded into the game right to the point before finding the next temple, making sure you found the owl statue right next to it, go back to the first day, slow down time, warp directly to the temple, beat the temple, wander around outside for awhile seeing what happened to the area, go back in time, repeat. I did enjoy the dungeon's though, despite none being anywhere near as challenging as the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time. However, the third temple boss (a giant robotic fish) was incredibly tough. Usually, I love tough games/bosses, but he wasn't tough because he was, but because of the camera. After hitting him, and trying to swim to the surface, the camera would switch somehow, and the button you're holding to go up, brings you down instead, right into his jaws, taking off a huge chunk of health. The masks were an annoyance also, and only a few had any actual use (aside from a heart piece/sidequest here and there). Overall, I'd probably recommend you play it if you're a LoZ fan, but it's fine if you miss it. Nothing really special about it. Hell, if you unlock the ultimate mask the final boss is a pushover. The ultimate mask makes Link into a knight with a big sword that using it any time sends out a spark (think of how the sword used in previous LoZ games acted when you're at full health). The only downfall being that it can only be used in boss rooms, not that you need it after that anyway. Eventually, I'll go back and unlock everything, because I'm a completionist (you get the point). I have half of the heart pieces left to find, a few great faeries to find, and just a couple upgrades (like a bigger bomb bag). That's essentially all I have left to do.
Now that that's over with, I still have to finish Manhunt. I don't really care though. That game got boring by the fifth level out of twenty (the gore got old, and sadly, that's all there is to the game) and I can barely force myself to play long enough to advance at all anymore. I'll probably unlock everything in the Sonic Mega Collection Plus and beat Street Fighter 3 with everyone to unlock all their costumes and an extra character and his extra costume. After that, I've got a few games I want to play, some of which are just tying up loose ends:
- Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (PS2) Beat it with the other characters/Unlock the last one
- Eternal Darkness (GC) I got about halfway through
- Far Cry (PC)
- Final Fantasy Chronicles (PS2) Beat FFIV
- Gauntlet (NES) I'm at level 89 out of, I believe, 100. EIGHTY FUCKING NINE. And I can't figure out where to go from here, every exit seems to send me back, sometimes to as far away as 79.
- GI Joe (NES) I don't know why I bother playing this. I guess it's just because I'm a few levels in.
- Kill.switch (PC)
- Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64) See above for what I have to do
- Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GC)
- Megaman & Bass (SNES) Beat the intro stage, and that's it
- Megaman X8 (PS2)
- Onimusha 2 (PS2)
- Onimusha 3 (PS2)
- Metroid Prime (GC) I never knew my brother had this...
- Resident Evil - Code: Veronica X (PS2) Unlock everything
- Resident Evil - Dead Aim (PS2) Unlock everything
- Starcraft (PC) A good game, but I suck at it. I beat the single player with the Terrans - maybe I'll force myself to go back and beat it with the other two
- Star Wars: Battlefront (PC)
- Super Mario World (SNES) This should probably be a priority, seeing as how it's scary that I haven't played this yet
- Sword of Hope (GB) I absolutely loved this game as a child
- Wheel of Time (PC) .... It's a computer game in the house ... I have to beat it. Fuck you!
- and the other GameCube Resident Evils (Zero, the remake, 4)
Bought a few movies today. I bought Troy for $15, along with Rules of Engagement, The Ninth Gate, Road to Perdition, and Jurassic Park for $9.99. It's so tough to pass up good movies when the price is less than $10. So, aside from those, I still have Dodgeball, Collateral, and Dark City to watch from Christmas/pre-Christmas buying.
I need to buy a new CD rack and a DVD. All my PS2 games are laying on my dresser because I have no room for them. I have several bought CDs laying on my desk. I have DVDs on the floor. I used to be able to fit all my PSX/PS2/DVDs on the thingy behind my bed. Oh well. Ya know, I'm still not sure if I've actually listened to a CD in it's entirety since the new year. Guess I'll have to give Nightingale - Alive Again and Eternal Tears of Sorrow - A Virgin and a Whore a listen just incase.
Sometimes I wish I was forgiving and didn't hold grudges. Then I remember that being a vengeful bastard is much better. It's amusing when people you hate have no idea why you hate them, despite being a lying, shit-talking, backstabbing sack of shit. Asking me if it's you won't get an answer. If it is, I'm sure you'll understand how that fits to you. Don't waste your time asking. Besides, I don't accept apologies. Especially many months too late. The bridge is crossed, so stand and watch it burn. We've passed the point of no return! I actually had intended to make a longer entry surrounding this, but figured it wasn't worth the time. I already had a draft and some ideas to include in it too.
Fuck ticketmaster. Everywhere you go - convenience charges up the ass.
Oh right, and Soilwork/Dark Tranquillity/Hypocrisy/Mnemic is $17.50 (before charges), on Sunday, May 1.
Damn you ticketmaster and your monopoly on concert tickets.
Hahaha, I have 5 CDs already from 2005, out of a list of 22 that have leaked already. Off to an early start. Excellent. After listening to a few more CDs, I'll be done with 2004 and post that, as if anyone cares.
This Phantom of the Opera soundtrack is funny. It's like they just recorded the goddamn movie. They didn't even bother taking out the dialogue before/after/during or sound effects (like swords striking each other). It's like listening to the entire movie. Though, the original cast recording is similar also. All that does is make me want to see it again more. AGAIN! DAMN YOU ALL!
Just two more songs left to download for the soundtrack. This person has a 56K, and goddamn I hate those days. It doesn't help the bastard had to rip it at a 320 bit rate. 128 good enough, and 192 is actual CD quality. I put all of mine at 128.
At New Year's Eve we saw A Series of Unfortunate Events. It was looking good; we had the entire theater to ourselves. Then, as soon as the movie starts... A BLACK COUPLE WITH THREE CHILDREN COME INTO THE THEATER. We should've left then and requested our money back. Jesus Christ, they did not shut the fuck up. At least the parents tried to tell them to shut up. *sigh* But I guess the children are just getting a head start at being annoying bitches at movie theaters. I didn't really like the movie anyway. I mean, I can't criticize anything - the acting, directing, storyboard, etc. was all really good, but it just didn't click with me. I'll still end up seeing the others, just for the sake of getting out of the house probably.
I haven't gone to Vintage Vinyl in quite some time. I haven't really thought about what I want to buy. There are probably a couple 2004 CDs I can look at and say "hmm, I should own this." Music's taken a hit with me since videogames started its comeback. I don't think I even really played many videogames in the last couple of years. Thank you Metal Gear Solid 3. It's easily one of my favorite games ever.
Hmm, I have piano tomorrow. I haven't practiced anything other than The Point of No Return.
>_>
End-Of-Wold Scenarios. There are some pretty cool ones, like the
X chromosome killing the Y chromosome and of course the whole "big crunch - reversal of time" theory, etc. There was actually a really good one on the
Verne Shot, which is a really cool idea, and it isn't found on that main page, oddly. I'd really recommend reading at least the Verne Shot thing, it's good.
Bah, I guess I'll end it there.
