Disapearing CD and DVD jewel boxes.

Jul 10, 2007 01:21

 So tired and sore...

I finished loading all the CDs and DVDs in the CD/DVD holders. It took 3 of 240 and I bought one of 200 which has like 10 CDs (Knowing myself I´ll put more in there eventually) for CDs only and took 1 of 240 and almost 1 of 200 for the DVDs.

I took pics of the 6 holders, the neat piles of CD and DVD booklets and back covers ( Read more... )

That is a lot of CD/DVD's. I bet it feels good to organize and consolidate. Hopefully the music stores will want at least some of the empty cases!

I went to the music store where I rent the DVDS (they have various stores in the city, but I went to the one which has a bigger rentals inventory... so more chances that they could need at least empty DVD cases, so I thought) and talking with the clerk I have a bit of more trust I tried the waters and he told me that it´ll be a mircle if the store would buy them, he reffered me
to the "black market".

I´m not that happy about that because most of the CD cases have a sticker with a hologram that we use in Mexico to identify that the CD is legit (meaning not a copy, clone or stolen) I´m not going to peel those stickers off. I would if they where a hundred... but they are way more than that and I´m finally recovering from pulling off the CD holders so I could take the CD back covers out.

I´ll check tomorrow the place the guy of the music store told me, I may not like it, but I have to see if I can make something out of those boxes.

I have lots of anime dvds -- probably around 600 or so -- and I do the same thing. Take them out of their cases and store them in a storage system. In my case, it's a set of hard plastic binder-type things. They work best for me. I still remember when I first switched to this system, it took forever to get everything organized and put away. So, I know what a huge job you've accomplished. You should be so proud that you did it!! I hope you're able to sell the cases. (I usually just give mine to GoodWill. LOL)

I´m very proud of my endevour. I smile like a loon when I finished. I look at my CD holders and I feel proud.

I weighted all of them and they weighted 25 kilos... the 6 of them. Now I´m frantic because I need to know the weigh limit on international flights (you know for the Germany thing... I want to keep my babies in my sight).

There is only a place similar to GoodWill, but that place doesn´t sell stuff, they give it away for free.

I´ll try the "black market" or selling them online (ebay and similar places).

I´d like to add more anime to my collection. So far I have Miyazaki-san movies (oh well, Ghibli studios movies, because The Cat Returns is not a Miyazaki film) well, most of them... I only miss Grave of the Fireflies, Pom Poko, Porco Rosso, Lupin III and My Neighbors the Yamadas; Remi and Neon Genesis Evangelion : The End Of Evangelion.

I´m DYING to have Weiss Kreuz, Fushigi Yuugi, The Eva series (I´m not sure if I´ll wait for Evangelion Rebuild or buying the whole thing twice), Nightwalker and Gundam Wing.

I love Nightwalker, Gundam Wing, and, of course Weiss. (It's pretty much a "given" that I love Weiss, though. LOL)

I have the Eva series, but I have to admit I wasn't crazy about it. I loved it right up until the ending, which disappointed me quite a lot. I usually hesitate to admit that out loud, though, because people hate me and want to throw things at me when they find out I didn't like it. *nervous laugh*

The ending it´s like ... Uh????? all the anguish, the drama, the mistery for this?

I like more the ending of the movie than the ending of the series. I read the statemenmt of Hideaki-san and it seems he´ll "restructure" the series to make it more "appealing" for non fans in the Rebuild of Evangelion.

Never the less I love Eva. It will be interesting to watch it in theaters (I have to admit I just LOVE the design of the Evas and I´d love to have one miniature of EVA 01).

What you think about the Live Action Eva movie? If they do what I have been reading, they´ll water it down A LOT, not to mention they´ll strip it like a victoria secret model.
