"the road to hell is paved with liberals." -the All Wise, All Knowing Jon Duf alida04 November 4 2004, 09:42:53 UTC
You act as though this was a football game or something. Actually, it was a good race between two candidates who, obviously we disagree on. I feel good about the outcome only because it was fair this time. Yes, Bush won...I think we know that from the news. I don't think elections are supposed to be about personal attacks on people who don't agree with you, it's about giving everybody the freedom to have a choice. It is America, right? As for the comment "the road to hell is paved with liberals," Hitler was a huge liberal wasn't he? I won't go any further with that comment because I know Dub-yuh isn't that bad, but don't make generalizations like that please. We're all allowed to have our own views, and I don't appreciate someone basically telling me I'm going to go to hell because I don't agree with you. That sounds a little bit communist if you ask me. Although I respect where you're coming from, I'd REALLY respect it if you actually knew what you were talking about rather than getting your "research" from FuckJohnKerry. ( ... )

Actually, Jon didnt say anything mean. He was simply rubbing it in that Bush won. The disrespect and verbal harassment republicans have recently endured for having their views is completely uncalled for. Democrats took it way too far with the name calling this year, and even put one of my friends in the hospital for supporting Bush at the state fair. Jon's comments were that of frustration from dealing with the constant complaining democrats do. Democrats want equality for everyone right? Take a look at what you're doing to republicans for simply having different views. It is no worse than discriminating against minorities or beating up a gay guy b/c you dont like his dating choices. Im not saying republicans are perfect, both sides are corrupt and suck. Democrats are just more malicious.
Peace out.

Ps: Dont credit Duf with the phrase "the road to hell is paved with liberals". He got it from the bumper sticker "The road to hell is paved with republicans"
So dont get so pissy just b/c he directed it your way

HOLY FUCKING SHITBALLS!!!! rockstar7943 November 5 2004, 13:45:47 UTC
Wow, lets all get a bit more angered about the situation cuz that's really gonna help...Anyone that knows Jon in the slightest should know that jon needs to say his jon things, you should have seen it coming the moment Kerry conceded to Bush. He's clearly just fuckin with you guys, if everyone was literally as mad as they've sounded we'd be at civil war. Remember how i said in my LJ that if you have that big of problems with something then DO something about it. No matter who is in office shit will get worked over, esp. in Iraq. Simmer down and stop fucking bitching!
PS, alicia's right, everyone that voted Kerry would be rubbing it in just as much (if not more) had the situation been reversed. Too bad i didn't have my "i voted for a winner" tshirt like I wanted to wear to school. Its all in good fun.
