gah, how upsetting. i saw a poster the other day, written by a grandma, saying similar things. just that she was more pleading to get this one to return the bike. it was pretty heartbreaking.
He's fine actually. We live in a fairly rough area of town (though things seem to be getting a bit better) but he's not oblivious to the reality of life here. On the other hand, he hasn't let it affect him negatively, he has a very strong sense of right and wrong. We went shopping for a new bike last night but did'nt find one, we'll try again tonight.
Sadly, the first thought that came to mind after reading this was "hey, at least they can't run people over with a bike"... (referring of course to a couple months ago and those punks who were stealing cars and running people down as a "game").
