Bad city, no donut

One thing I miss about California is that California respects the existence of the doughnut as a food worth consuming for its own sake, rather than merely as a complement to the morning cup of caffeinated beverage. I know about Voodoo Doughnut. Do you have other recommendations? I expect late January/early February, I'll be in the need of a couple different places to try out.

I sadly don't. There are no good 24 hour doughnut places up here.

Somehow these two statements combined in my head to make me think you were going to get Moira a cup of coffee rather than the traditional glass of milk.

Given local customs, I suspect we're considered borderline abusive parents for having not given her coffee yet. Instead, this was about the local vegan (and with some offerings, gluten free) donut place not being open enough, along with apparently all but one other local donut place.

The dairy thing is really rough. However, it does mean that if Shannon and I get a chance to dine alone, we don't have to go beyond ordering pizza most of the time. Mmmm, cheese.
