When I had my Amiga (spanish for 'girlfriend') I paid £300 for a 52Mb external HD. Last month I paid £93 for a 500Gb internal SATA HD. [shrug]

My linux server's got
1) a 120 Gig internal drive (err, probably IDE, might be SATA)
2) an external 320 Gig USB drive
3) an external 500 Gig USB drive.

Frankly, it's just ridiculous. I've just replaced my old firewall machine with a brank spanking... old machine (but not as old). It's got a 40 Gig drive because I haven't got any smaller.

My alarm clock's got an 80 Gig drive. Which does make me a 1 Terrabyte household! (And that's before I count the TiVo, or the two Windows PCs which aren't currently turned on. Or my laptop.)
