Great. There I was, expecting pearls of wisdom and all I get is a weight on my coat tails. Hmph! ;-)

glittertigger and I stayed in Hotel Hospitel. This isn't particularly glamourous, but you really can't beat the location...

Le Reminet is great for food. Make sure you go to the Musee d'Orsay. And go to see the Institut du Mondes Arabes (you can go up in the glass lift and have a meal/drink overlooking the Seine. Fabulous view).
