1. People who have been tagged must write the answers on their blog and replace any question they dislike with a new, original question.
2. Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.
First eight people to read this, consider yourselves tagged! ;-)
1. How many clowns would it take to freak you out?
Clown's aren't that weird. But if more than (say) 5% of the people I am looking at are clowns (and I can see no reason for it ) then I guess I'd be curious. Up the proportion to 25% and I might be a bit anxious I suppose. But confused is way more likely than freaking out.
2. What is your favorite card game?
"Pack of Cards" game: probably canasta, I have a fondness.
"Rectangular cardboard pieces" game: Magic: The Gathering.
3. Tea or coffee?
Tea during the day, coffee after a decent dinner. Chinese tea increasingly often.
4. Five things you can touch right now without getting up.
The Kettle and Tea bags.
Binoculars.
Two Laptops.
A vintage Coca-Cola glass with pretty stained glass patterns.
Printouts of chapter 3 of a book wot I wrote (and is revising), with comments from helpful local authors. There's a stylised bat (to indicate the particular commenter) at the top corner of the top sheet I can see.
(sadly, there are no kittens within reach right now)
5. You have to be somewhere on the fourth floor of a building. Do you take the lift/elevator?
If I'm in a hurry or going to a meeting and avoiding perspiration I'll take the lift. That's probably 90% of the tme there's a non-stairs option. I do always walk up/down the escalator if there is one.
6. How do you feel about your reflection?
S'alright. S'me at least. Eyes (even one's own) are fascinating. My nose tends to look (even) large(r) if I am very close to the mirror which I used not to like.
7. What were you thinking about before starting this quiz (original Q was "right now")?
Designing v2 of a software system which allows processing requests for satellite images, tracking the progress and delivering the data. v1 currently in use contributing to the Japanese relief effort -

Current issue "Given the changes to the operational processes and software upgrades we planned, which of these UML sequence diagrams are going to need updating for the v2 design documentation?".
8. Dog person or cat person?
Cat person. Currently Kitten person. They are just adorable. And adored.
9. If you came across $2,000 (or other currency) would you keep it or turn it in?
Turn it in, but hope it doesn't get claimed. Chances are someone dropping that amount of cash accidentally was either up-to-no-good (TM) or loaded (c).
Shallow Grave taught me that you need to be careful about this sort of thing.
10. What was the last thing that you bought?
A bottle of wine. How dull. Last non-consumable probably a cat toy.
11. If you could be taken away anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Depends on the amount of time I get there. If I can have time (at least a couple of weeks, ideally a few months) then the Amazon rainforest. But if just for the afternoon then off to India to see the Cricket World Cup game between them and Australia.
12. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Here, but with bigger cats, the house a bit more sorted, the garden more full, and the mind a bit clearer and more enlightened. Hopefully still working from home.
13. Last book you read?
Reading Dissolution by C J Sansom (World Book Night gift from Killalla).
14. What are you doing this weekend?
Off to a birthday bash staying in a cottage with half a dozen close friends. Many interesting discussions will ensue.
15. What's your dream job?
Travel Writer or photographer. But I totally need the "teleport back home really easily" ability for either of those to work.
16. How are you? (left this question in but I echo Bateleur's "That's a weird question for the end isn't it?")
Good. A little tired but in decent physical, emotional and mental shape.
