Is beyond irritated at an Etsy seller. Its been 2 years since I bought something and now shes claiming she refunded the money after I was beyond patient with her. Unbelievable. Last year she said she was so embarrassed she thought she had refunded and she would send the item out. Where the proof of said refund?! Honestly I would have bought more ( Read more... )

It is a joke, a woman bought something from me and didnt read the description so marked me negatively when everything i sell is digital she didnt realize this and etsy said basicly " what do you want me to do about it?" i replied do your job since you take fees quickly enough! I wrote it in my terms of service, its all over my account everything is digital etc. They just now revised their bs terms of service but its still a joke. Ask her what date in paypal she refunded you money so you can double check. Paypal keeps records and u can bring up a dispute with them over etsy.

I looked up her last name on Paypal and only have 2 transactions both ME sending her money. (I basically upgraded my purchase and added an item which is why there was 2 payments)

I asked for Proof of refund - I somehow doubt she will respond she only responded just now and claimed she sent a refund is because the dispute came from Etsy mail and not me.

I asked Etsy if they could open up the option for me to leave feedback (I can't because its been so long) The reason its been so long is because I was being patient and understanding and nice about the whole thing!!!

She did send me one item, but not the big ticket item. She claimed it "broke" while she was setting it on the ring, and she would send at a later date.

Yes I am pissy now.

Paypal didn't remover her un-fair feedback on the digital thing? That sucks!

it was etsy they said they can not get involved in feedback, my response was i could understand if she wasnt happy with the product BUT when she buys the product that is clearly listed as one thing she shouldnt be able to mark me negatively for it. i said so i can buy a sweater for example that is blue, KNOWING ITS BLUE as it says so in the description and change my mind or because i didnt read the description mark the seller negatively because i decided i wanted pink? and they responded with that would be between us and to use the kiss and make up feature. i was so MAD. Because then anyone can be a bitch and leave you horrible feedback if they decide too. without a reason, if there was a reason i could understand.

You should then bring a dispute with her against paypal, explain the situation to them especially if she is a verified user on paypal they will take action. I had to deal with them once over a very cheap lying jerk! god some people are crazy!!!

I can't the transaction is too old.

And honestly it's not the money at this point or even the item. I'm angered that an artist would rip off another artist. Even if its just bad record keeping on her part it would be SIMPLE to look up the info on Paypal. It's the principal of the thing.

Did the person not want to "kiss and make up" (I have no idea how that works)

In all my buying of stuff on Ebay and Etsy it's only the 2nd time I've been ripped off. The first time I'm pretty sure the package got delivered while I was out of town and stolen off the porch (this was Ebay purchase) so I just dropped it. So that's a pretty good track record I shouldn't complain. Still. This is SO easily resolved. Blah.

That is why I am a bit hesitant to buy something off of Etsy...I have had issues with Ebay in the past and don't want to deal with that again. However, I did see the cutest soft ornaments that I need so hopefully things go better.

Why does Etsy have such a horrible dispute system?
