Interesting thing just happened. I don't buy soda. If I do it's diet but even that I try and not buy. Anyway, I was in the store and saw one "normal soda" I wanted to try (what got into my head I don't know). Took it home. fwiw, I use almond milk. No fat and it tastes good. And a good tasting protein powder. I find that any I get at the grocery store taste like incinerated chicken bones. Spring for the better quality and usually, better tasting stuff. Sweetened w/stevia. Which might be another "sucralose" thing. But I'm going with it for now.

Do you have a favorite Protein powder? Last time I went to whole foods to look there were about 50 choices and as you know it's not exactly cheap so I didn't want to buy one without input on what's worth the $.

Stevia is probably OK since it's known to not really effect blood sugars much. I put it in my tea sometimes.

My favourite one I get from a Canadian source called Whey Depot. I get isolate and cold-filtered because it's more pure than concentrate which uses heat therein destroying some of the quality. I pay about $15./lb. Definitely more expensive than general store bought stuff but I really really notice a difference so it's worth it for me.

Best article I've seen describing the different types of protein powders:

Yeah, I use stevia in tea.

If I come up with something good I'll post it for you guys. Todays smoothie wasn't bad but nothing to write home about.

I've seen online mock frap recipes but I have tried any of them you might trying to Google it and then see how you can modify it to make it healthier.
